Turner Classic Mystery
Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer and Joseph Cotton starred in the 1950s film. Manningham, the handsome and suave husband, cleverly convinces his wife, Bella, that she is losing her mind, leaving her alone at night as he prowls the streets of London and beyond. The play builds to one of the most delicious suspense scenes in modern theatre and guarantees first rate satisfaction. The mystery ran for months in London as Gaslight, then crossed the Atlantic to run on Broadway as Angel Street, before returning to the original title, Gaslight, in the popular movie. Amy Maurer, as Bella, will be joined onstage by Ken Untiedt, playing Manningham. Bill Small plays the brilliant, kindly detective from Scotland Yard. Completing the cast are Melissa DeVine, Karrie Parrish, Gerry Peacock, Lee Broadwater, and Linda Licht.
