Completely enchanting - a wonderfully suave and impish comedy.
A "Bewitched"-style modern day witch becomes bored with her "witch-warlock crowd" and sets her cap for a handsome, young publisher in the upstairs apartment. He falls head over heels in love with her and the romance sizzles, tickles, and satisfies. Playwright John Van Druten wrote also the play I Am a Camera that inspired Cabaret and the nostalgic I Remember Mama.
Lori Golden plays Gillian, the witch; Sara McMullan plays Gillian's aunt; and Keith Aiavolasiti plays the warlock-brother. Ken Untiedt plays the love-smitten publisher, and Chris Englert is cast as a"hungry to know about witches" writer. Jimmy Stewart and Kim Novak co-starred in a popular movie version of the show after Rex Harrison premiered in the original play.
