Riveting drama...both ironic and deeply touching
Haunted by the past, Gene battles the ghost of his father. Tom, his father, is the Grand Old Man; mayor of a small town, self-made and respected by outsiders. To his family, he is unloving and self-absorbed, uninterested in his own wife and children. The drama unfolds in a series of flashbacks that explore the struggles and tensions between father and son, and the love between mother and son and daughter. Doug Moore plays the father; Keith Aiavolasiti is the son; Katherine Whitebeck plays the wonderfully strong daughter; and Pat Harris appears as the artistic, compasionate mother. Chris Englert, Richard Malloy, Jackie Vose, Sherry Barger, Andy Wilson, and Martin Saucedo round out the cast.
This prestigious drama is the work of one of the country's leading playrights, Robert Anderson, author of Tea and Sympathy.
