All-Time Favorite Family Musical

Rodgers and Hammerstein teamed for the last time in 1959 to win six Tonys, including Best Show of the Season. The big, warm-hearted musical tells the true story of the famous Trapp Family Singers and their miraculous escape from Nazi Germany. Some of the most enduring hits from the show include "Do-Re-Mi," "My Favorite Things," "Climb Every Mountain," Sixteen Going on Seventeen," and "Edelweiss." Local talent and SFA singers join hands and voices to bring the beloved classic to life once more.

Robert Adamson plays Captain von Trapp, Nita Hudson is Mother Superior, SFA music major Marissa Maddoux debuts as Maria and Charlotte Davis plays Elfa. Alternating casts of von Trapp children feature talented young performers guaranteed to steal your heart!
